Sterling silver four-piece ranger set, buckle, tip and two keepers, cut in deep stepped ridges with no stones. Made for a 3/4 inch belt.

Buckle only. The leather strap is sold separately.

The details

A ranger set is four pieces worn on one belt: the buckle, a tip that caps the cut end of the strap, and two keepers that sit between them and hold the tail down. Ranger straps are tapered, narrow at the buckle and wider through the body of the belt, and the set is sized to that narrow end. Together the four pieces run as a single line of silver across the front.

The Adobe RS9 is sterling silver cut in a stepped pattern, deep terraced ridges fanning out from flat polished bands, squared off at the frame rather than rounded. It is a Southwestern shape done without stones and without color, so all of the interest is in the way the steps take light and shadow. The two keepers and the rounded tip carry the same stepped cuts.

Made for a 3/4 inch belt. Belts are not included, but we cut and finish straps to a customer's waist measurement in the store, on East 1st Avenue in Old Town Scottsdale, where we have been for more than 25 years.

Measurements & fit

A buckle must match the strap at its buckle end. A tapered belt has a wider body and a narrower end.

A good fit starts here.

Two widths. One important match.

Belt bodyBuckle end

Match the buckle to the belt-end width. A tapered strap can have a 1¼-inch body and a 1-inch buckle end. That pairing needs a 1-inch buckle.

A straight strap keeps the same width from body to buckle. Where a product lists only a maximum width, ask the shop to confirm its fit.

Choosing your belt length? Belt size is measured from the buckle end to the hole you use, and usually runs two inches above your pant size. Our sizing guide walks through it.
