A flat card case in black alligator. You can read the hide straight across the face: the small square tile scales along the top, and the wide rounded belly scales below them, which is the part of the skin most people picture when they think of alligator. It is stitched around the edge in a tone close to the skin, and the corners are rounded off so they do not curl in a pocket.
Card slots are stitched into the face with an open pocket behind them for folded bills or a key card. There is no fold and no lining bulk, so it carries flat in a front pocket or an inside jacket pocket. Alligator is a firm, dense skin. It holds its shape and does not slouch the way a soft calf case will after a year of use.
