Monterrey Buckle RS72

$799.00

A ranger set is four separate pieces that dress one belt: the buckle, a tip that finishes the cut end of the strap, and two keepers that ride between them and hold the loose tail in place. The strap is tapered, narrower at the buckle than through the body of the belt, and the silver is sized to that narrower end.

The Monterrey RS72 is a plain set, and for a lot of people that is the point. It is sterling silver with a squared frame, a high polish, and a fine double line worked into the edges as the only decoration. No stones, no engraving, no darkened recesses. The tip is cut as an open V rather than a solid cap. It goes with a suit as easily as it goes with jeans, which is not true of most ranger sets.

Made for a 1-1/4 inch belt. The belt is not included. We cut and finish straps to a customer’s waist measurement in the shop on East 1st Avenue in Old Town Scottsdale, where we have worked leather for more than 25 years.
